FAQ'S

Question: Why should I go on a SEND service trip?

Answer: Participating in a SEND prgram is a concrete way to put your faith into action. Jesus calls each of us to serve those in our midst and going on a SEND gives you the opportunity to do just that! Plus, you meet new people, travel to another part of the country or world, and see life from another perspective.

Question: What are the Spring Break destinations for 2006?

Answer: This year's groups are going to:

Baltimore, MD
Bronx, NY
Lansdale, PA
New Orleans, LA (Katrina Relief)
West Philadelphia, PA
Washington, DC

Past projects have included work with Habitat for Humanity,volunteering in an orphanage, providing a Spring Camp for kids in the South Bronx, serving in a sub-stance abuse recovery community, and helping the Religious of the Assumption sisters continue to develop their new community in New Mexico.

Question: How much does it cost to go on a SEND. trip?

Answer: The Spring Break trips cost $100 per person (except for the Katrina Relief MIssion, which is $400). The Mexico Mission costs more.

Question: Where do we go in Mexico?

Answer: This past summer, the group divided up after traveling to Mexico together and served in three different locations - Mexico City, San Ildefonso (a rural area a few hours north of Mexico city), and Magdalena (a coastal, poverty-stricken area).

Question: I'd like to talk to some students who have gone to Mexico. Who are some students I can talk to?
