Assumption College's Media Center houses Studio A, Studio B, a control room, and two edit suites. The television production equipment is capable of producing and duplicating software in VHS and SVHS formats, for use in the classroom, campus network, or on the world wide web.

We have one nonlinear edit suite which utilizes the Avid Macintosh platform. It's available primarily for Television Production II students. The Avid is a powerful digital nonlinear system for the price. Please see us about it's use for other projects.

The Media Center houses the head-end equipment which drives the cable system on campus. We have two closed circuit Assumption College Channels. Channel 39 WACT, and Channel 40, Assumption College's Electronic Bulletin Board. Channel 39 is also utilized by our satellite dish for C and KU band satellite videoconferencing. Charter Communications is our cable provider and they offer the students a variety of analog programming including the History Channel, ESPN, CNN, Comedy Central, just to name a few.
