2 Guys and a TV Show: Created by Tim Longden and Jared Pavey (both of the class of 2003), 2 Guys and a TV Show was the most popular TV program in WACT history. Longden and Pavey's original and creative style of humor was only outmatched by their acting, timing, writing and directing. This show was absolutely hysterical! Too bad they waited until their senior year to produce their hit! The college community was only able to enjoy three episodes in total. Perhaps if they were able to get into the TV Production courses as underclassmen, we would have been blessed with an entire series of 2 Guys!
L & E Now here's an example of determination and perseverance! Lisa Jean Gentilotti and Erin Maher (both of the class of 2003) were not communications majors, and were not able to get spots in a TV Production course, but that didn't stop them from producing 6 episodes of the L & E Show! First broadcasted in November of 2001 and running until November of 2002, L & E was well received and very comical. Lisa and Erin's brand of humor included "man on the street" interviews, sketch comedy, and studio work. Many long hours were put in by the duo to produce their shows, along with some help from their editor, Steve Piscitello.
Kids Like Us Kids Like Us was developed in 1997 by Ty Skelton and Ryan Farias in a collaborative effort to produce something other than ACTV News on WACT. KLU follows the sketch comedy genre, and incorporates segments produced specifically for KLU as well as from the television production classes. A tremendous amount of time and effort went into producing this show, so unfortunately, only two half-hour episodes were completed. But they were excellent!!
