Academic and Research Collaborative (ARC)

* participating members of ARC's student cross borrowing program
** student cross borrowing program available through interlibrary loan only
Assumption College is a member of several library organizations and participates in resource sharing with these organizations.

The Academic & Research Collaborative (ARC) of the Central Massachusetts Regional Library System (CMRLS) is a coalition of academic, public, and special research libraries working together to facilitate the sharing of resources and services for the benefit of their collective users. Please see the list above on the right hand side of the chart. Most of these libraries will grant borrowing privileges to faculty, staff, and students of other participating institutions. To check out materials from other libraries, faculty, staff, and students need to have an ARC card. These cards are available at the circulation desk in the Library.

Clark University requires that the students get an Interlibrary Loan Form from the Assumption College Library's Reference Office. For materials that are not available at the d'Alzon Library, students, faculty and staff may fill out Interlibrary Loan Requests. This service is handled by the Reference Department. There is not a charge for this service unless the lending library charges a fee. Requestors are notified when the items are available. Items found locally may take less than a week, but users should expect the process to take at least 10 days or longer.
