Requesting Items From Other Libraries Through
Interlibrary Loan

Interlibrary Loan is new and improved! If this is your first request using our new system, please read the following instructions before clicking on the link below. Otherwise, click here then click on the REQUEST button to submit an Interlibrary Loan request.

PLEASE NOTE: Interlibrary loan is a service for current students, staff, and other authorized members of the Assumption College community. In order to access the forms via the link below, you need to be entered in our patron database as an active user. If you have any doubt concerning your status, or if you get an error message when you try to access the request forms, contact the circulation department in person, by phone at 508-767-7135, or via email at library@assumption.edu.

Instructions:
1. To access request forms select the "Catalog" button from the Library's home page.
2. Then click on the "Request" box near the top of the catalog page.

3. After you click on the request box, the page below will appear. Enter the bar code number from your ID and your last name and click on "Login".

4.  If you receive the  error message, "You may not have entered your barcode and name correctly.
Retry your request or ask for help at the Circulation or Reference Desk," re-enter your ID information.  If you are still unable to connect, contact the Circulation Department in person, by phone at 508-767-7271, or via email at library@assumption.edu.

5. When your barcode information is accepted,  you will find a pull down menu on the next screen.
You may choose either the form for photocopies (to request articles) or for books.

5. Clicking OK on the photocopy page will produce the page that appears below. (The book request form is very similar.)

6. Complete the form.

• Fill in all items in bold.
• Enter the email account that you want notices regarding your request to be sent to. You will be notified automatically via email when an item is received.

• Note: The more completely the form is filled out, the better our chances are for locating the item that you want.

• Click on Submit Request.
