LAUREN HAYNIE: Assistant Athletics Director for Sports Medicine
LAUREN HAYNIE (Jackson, TN/Penn State '00), the head athletics trainer at Lane College in Jackson, TN since 2002, has been named the Assistant Athletics Director for Sports Medicine at Assumption College.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: head trainer at Lane College (Jackson, TN) since 2002 . . . medical coordinator for National Youth Sports Program at Lane College (2003) . . . graduate assistant athletics trainer at Old Dominion University (Norfolk, VA) (2000-02).
EDUCATION: graduated from Pennsylvania State University (University Park, PA) in 2000 (B.S. Kinesiology) . . . Old Dominion University (Norfolk, VA) (M.S. Education).

JAMIE PINZINO: Head Baseball Coach
JAMIE PINZINO (Boston, MA/Tufts '97), a former standout player and graduate assistant coach at Tufts University (Medford, MA), has been named head baseball coach at Assumption College. Pinzino is the 29th head coach in the history of the oldest sport at the College. The Hounds have compiled an 837-789-14 overall record since 1912.
PLAYING EXPERIENCE: played at St. John's High School in Shrewsbury, MA for Coach Bill White '62 (a former Greyhound outfielder) . . . won the Pioneer Award for baseball . . . Central Mass. Conference all-star at third base in 1993 . . . team won District title in 1993 . . . played collegiately for Coach John Casey at Tufts University leading the Jumbos to the 1995 N.C.A.A. regional . . . 1994, 1996, 1997 E.C.A.C. Tournament champions . . . three-year starter at third base . . . Elias Award (1997) for baseball.
COACHING EXPERIENCE: served the last two years as assistant coach at Tufts University under Coach John Casey . . . team compiled records of 21-10 and 18-14 . . . served as assistant coach at Holy Cross (2002), California Pomona Pitzer (1998), Westboro American Legion (1998), St. John's High (1999-2001), Northboro American Legion (1999-present).

BOB STEIN: Head Women's Volleyball Coach
BOB STEIN (Holden, MA/Earlham '67), a former standout player and longtime volleyball coach at the Bancroft School in Worcester, MA, has been named the head women's volleyball coach at Assumption College. Stein is the 17th head coach in the history of the sport at the College which had its inaugural season in 1972.
PLAYING EXPERIENCE: played four years at outside hitter at Earlham College for Coach Jackson Bailey . . . Midwest Intercollegiate Volleyball Association all-star three times and MVP as senior . . . team MVP and captain as senior . . . team advanced to USVBA national tournament twice . . . 1967-80 for the University of Wisconsin Madison club team advancing to nationals in 1979 . . . played on Columbus, OH YMCA open team (1974) winning a regional title to advance to the USVBA National Open . . . played for Providence Turners Club (1984-86).
COACHING EXPERIENCE: coached the University of Wisconsin-Madison (1972) . . . player-coach Bay State Senior Men (Central Massachusetts) (1993-96) . . . team won three gold and one silver medal . . . coach Bancroft School girl's volleyball in first eight years of existence . . . team has won last five league championships and advanced to the New England Independent School semifinal in 2003 . . . team compiled 80-8 mark over last five years . . . also coached boy's lacrosse (2003-04) advancing to the New England Independent semifinal in 2004.

MARK KELLEY: Head Men's Lacrosse Coach
MARK KELLEY
(Warren, MA/Massachusetts '94), a former standout player at the University of
Massachusetts and former head coach at Nichols College has been named the head
men's lacrosse coach at Assumption College.
Kelley is the 12th head coach in the history of the sport at the College which
played as a 'club' sport (1974-87) before turning varsity in 1988.
PLAYING EXPERIENCE: 1992-94, played club lacrosse at Massachusetts.
COACHING EXPERIENCE: 1994-95, assistant men's lacrosse coach at Massachusetts (club team) . . . 1996, assistant boy's lacrosse coach at Williston Northampton School (Easthampton, MA) . . . 1997, assistant boy's lacrosse coach at Suffield, CT Academy . . . 1998, director of instructional lacrosse at Eagle Hill School, Hardwick, MA . . . 2000-02, head coach, men's lacrosse at Nichols College (Dudley, MA) . . . 2003-04, assistant lacrosse coach at St. John's High School (Shrewsbury, MA).
