Baccalaureate Mass [no tickets needed]
5:00 pm
The Cathedral of St. Paul, 38 High Street (at the corner of High Street and Chatham Street) downtown Worcester.
The Cathedral is handicapped accessible. Parking is at a premium, although there are parking lots and garages in the vicinity. Please allow yourself ample time to find parking.
This religious celebration is open to all seniors, their families and their guests. There is no limit to the number of people who may attend.

Plourde Recreation Center Gym, Assumption College
The first Baccalaureate
Soirée will feature a live performance by Stardust, known throughout the United States as Boston's "Super Band." Their set will span music from the 1940's to modern day.
This fabulous semi-formal dance party and dessert reception is sure to become a part of Assumption's commencement tradition. A variety of desserts and coffee will be served and a cash beer and wine bar will be available.
This is a ticketed event. Tickets are available for purchase by students, family and friends. The cost is $20 per person. Click here for the order form.

Commencement Exercises [no tickets needed]
- 8:30 am - All graduates must report to the Plourde Recreation Center for robing
- 9:40 am - Processional leaves the Plourde Center
- 10:00 am - Commencement Exercises begin at H.L. Rocheleau Athletic Field
There is no limit to the number of people who may attend Commencement Exercises.
Special note: Commencement exercises at WPI (also located along on Salisbury Street) is scheduled for the same day. To lessen traffic delays please plan to arrive by 8:30 a.m.

Academic Regalia (cap and gown)
If you are a candidate for graduation, and have been financially and academically cleared to graduate, you may pick up your cap and gown at the Assumption College Bookstore the week prior to commencement. If you have questions regarding your academic regalia, please contact the Assumption College Bookstore at 508-767-7249.

Announcements / Invitations
The announcements are not tickets, but a formal written announcement of your impending graduation that you can share with family and friends. Each student from the Class of 2008 will receive five (5) official Assumption College Commencement Announcements. They will be delivered via student mailboxes in mid-April.
Tickets are not needed for Commencement Exercises.
Commencement Photography
Assumption College has contracted with Commencement Photos, Inc., to take close-up photos of each individual student as you receive your diploma. There will be two different photography shots taken of each student during the ceremony; one as they receive their diploma (action shot) and one as they exit the stage with diploma in hand (posed shot).
Parents, family, and friends will be allowed to take pictures only from designated spots along the sides of the tent. See tent diagram below.
Commencement Photos, Inc., will contact each student at his/her home address regarding the ordering and purchasing of the photos.

Commencement Video
Assumption College has contracted Collins Video Services of Fitchburg to videotape the Commencement Exercises. The company will contact each student at his/her home address regarding placing an order for the video. It will also be possible to order a copy of the video on the day of Commencement.

Moving Out of Residence Halls
Students are expected to move out of their campus housing by 6:00 pm on the evening of Commencement Day, May 17, 2008. All trash must be removed, and all carpeting, floors, appliances, and fixtures should be cleaned to the best of your ability. On Commencement Day students need to return room/apartment keys to their Resident Director (RD) from Noon until 3:00 pm, and required to fill out an "Exit Inventory Waiver." If you have any additional questions, please contact Residential Life at ext. 7505.

Throughout the year, Seniors will receive the most up-to-date, detailed information about Commencement via class mailings and e-mail messages. In early Fall all parents should have received a general postcard informing them of the date of Commencement and directing them to this website.
