Colleges of Worcester Consortium Joint Choral Concert

Type of Event: 

The choirs of the Colleges of Worcester Consortium present their triennial joint choral concert.  Participating choruses are from Assumption College, Clark University, College of the Holy Cross, WPI, and Worcester State College.  Every three years the college choruses join together to present a choral masterwork with a professional orchestra and soloists at Mechanic’s Hall, Worcester's most historic and acoustically perfect venue, This year's Masterwork is the Requiem by French composer Maurice Durufle.

This year’s conductor will be Dr. Christie Nigro, Professor of Music at Worcester State University.  Soloists will be Erika Hennings, mezzo-soprano, and Rene de la Garza, bass.  Featured organist will be Abraham Ross, organ scholar at the College of the Holy Cross.

The program is open to the public. Tickets are $15 regular admission, $10 students and seniors, available through Mechanics Hall and at the box office the day of the concert.
