ALUMNI CHOIR/ALUMNI DINNER

Each June during Reunion Weekend, former members of the Assumption College Chapel Choir are invited to participate in the Alumni Choir. Former members of the Assumption College Chorale and Glee Club are also invited to take part. The Alumni Choir sings for the 5PM Mass held each year during the Saturday of Reunion weekend. A rehearsal is held that day at 3:45PM in the college’s Chapel of the Holy Spirit.

A dinner buffet is offered immediately following the Alumni Mass in Charlie’s Restaurant on campus for all those who participate in the Choir. Reservations can be made each year through contact with the Alumni Office.

To participate in the Alumni Choir/Dinner please return the reservation form mailed to you in April/May. Reservations can also be made by credit card by phoning the Alumni Office at (508) 767-7000.

The Chapel Choir provided me with many opportunities to grow as an individual. A once shy college freshman, by the end of my sophomore year I was accepting solo opportunities and by senior year I had gained the confidence and vocal competence to take on a role in the Chapel Choir’s production of GODSPELL, an experience that will rein as one of the high points of my Assumption experience. I would encourage anyone who is interested in singing, or learning to sing, while meeting new people and participating in the liturgical life of what you will discover to be one of the most beautiful weekly mass you will experience anywhere, to join the Assumption College Chapel Choir.

If you are interested in becoming a member of the Chapel Choir during your first semester at Assumption College, please plan to attend our first rehearsal on Thursday, September 4th at 7:00pm in the Chapel. We will sing for the 7pm Mass on Sunday, September 6th as well as the college's opening Mass of the year: The Mass of the Holy Spirit on Tuesday, September 9th. A specific dress code is required for this Mass. Please email the director for further information at jshivick@assumption.edu.

'08 MOVE-IN DAY MASS
Rehearsal and move in information is TBD for any Chapel Choir upperclassmen interested in moving onto campus early in order to sing for this Mass on Saturday, August 30th.
