Think about your future
You may think it is way too early to think about your post-graduation plans, but think again. After all, getting settled at Assumption College, conducting a job search and applying for graduate school have something in common: networking. It’s getting to know helpful people like your professors, your advisor and upper class students. CALLS can help you meet new people through the First Year Mentor Program, leadership opportunities, involvement with campus organizations/activities and networking with Assumption College Alumni. This is the perfect way to build confidence and interpersonal
communication skills.
It’s not too early to explore the various options available to you at Assumption such as majors, minors, concentrations and internship opportunities. The 3rd annual Majors Fair will be held on February 7th, 2008 at the Hagan Campus Center from 6 - 7:30. There are many choices, and CALLS can provide you with the resources to help you assess your skills and interests. Practical experience such as involvement in campus life and volunteering can help you learn more about your strengths and find out what excites you.
