Who? Sophomores apply to be matched with an alumni or parent who has volunteered for the program.
How? Click here for the student application or here for the alumni/parent volunteer form.
When? The shadow experience will take place the week of January 12 - 16th during winter break. Students will be exposed to a workplace environment for a full or half day.
Where? Every attempt will be made to match the student geographically and within their area of interest.
What happens? While shadowing a professional, students will observe some of the tasks performed in a specific occupation and see first hand the workplace of an alumni or parent. Students will be able to ask questions about the skills and experience needed to succeed in the environment they're observing.
Why? This program provides sophomores with an experiential learning activity that will assist them with portfolio development, networking and career exploration. Alumni and parents will have an opportunity to contribute to the professional development of an Assumption sophomore.
