Alumni Involvement Opportunities

Be it directly or indirectly, Assumption College alumni can get involved with other alumni and students in a variety of ways: 

• Admissions:  "Spread the Word" of how great an Assumption education is to prospective high school students - especially alumni who work in the education field.  Join the Admission's Ambassador Program and interview potential and accepted students in your region.  For additional information, please contact Justin Smith '03 at jsmith@assumption.edu. 
  
• Alumni-to-Alumni Networking and Mentoring:  Assumption Alumni are always on-the-move and appreciate connecting with other alumni regarding careers.  Please join the growing number of alumni on the Networking and Mentoring web-site at http://res.assumption.edu/alumni/.  It is a great site and one we hope will get larger and larger.
  
•  Alumni Regional Clubs: Can't always make it back to campus?  Assumption Regional Clubs are constantly planning events - where you live!  From Cape Cod to New York and beyond, please check our web-site frequently for an "event near you" at http://www.assumption.edu/alums/Alumni/events.html. 
  
•  Campus Ministry:  Alumni who were part of Campus Ministry meet the 2^nd Sunday of each month at 5:00 p.m. in Charlie's.  For additional information, contact Kristina England at Kassima@aol.com. 
  
• C.A.L.L.S. (Career Academic Lifetime Learning Skills) program:  The Student Counseling Center does a great job of counseling students on future careers and goals.  Summer jobs and paid internships are always valuable experiences.  If your company can participate, please contact Suellen Grady Lazarek'88 at slazarek@assumption.edu.
  
•  Chapel Choir/Chorale/Glee Club:  Alumni of these groups are always invited back to perform at Mass during Reunion Weekend -- each June.  Contact Jane Shivick at jshivick@assumption.edu or Katy Gloshinski at kgloshin@assumption.edu to be included. •  Invitations/Event Flyers:  On the bright side...the number of alumni is increasing at a rate of almost 600 per year for a total of approximately 18,000 Assumption College alumni!  Also increasing is the cost of stamps and mail processing.  We are trying to do more e-mail invitations so our valuable dollars can be better spent educating current and future students.  Please let the Alumni Office know your e-mail address - it doesn't cost a thing!
  
• Reach Out Center:  Our volunteer students are always working hard for the community.  From Comfort Shawls to Cell Phones, check out their web-site at http://www.assumption.edu/stulife/ROC/default.html for how you can get involved with the community.
