Wayne Rollins, Ph.D HA’00

Wayne received the Honorary Alumnus Award in 2000 for his devotion to the Catholic liberal arts education of Assumption College. He was the director of the College’'s Ecumenical Institute of Religious Studies (1976-93) and was awarded a full-year sabbatical for research as a visiting scholar in 1996. Wayne organized annual programs that brought world-class theologians and educators to the campus. He has consistently attacted participants to his popular summer ecumenical programs. Wayne is an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ and is dedicated to the authentic Catholic, liberal arts education that Assumption College offers.
