Claire Quintal, Ph.D. HD’98

Claire was the 1996 recipient of the Honorary Alumna Award for her hard work and dedication to Assumption College and its French Institute. Claire is professor emeritas of French and founding directress of the French Institute (1968-2000), a center that supports the study of the language, culture, and heritage of France. The Institute has many accomplishments and is recognized in France, Canada, and the United States. She is a lifetime member of the College's President’s Council, and was awarded a President’s Medal from Assumption in 1995 and an honorary degree in 1998.
