Dr. and Mrs. Pasquale DiPasquale received the Honorary Alumnus/Alumna Award in 1977 for their dedication to Assumption College. Pasquale was the first lay president of Assumption College (1972-77), and its 13th president. During Dr. DiPasquale’s tenure, the campus grew with the construction of two townhouse-style dorms, three academic and administrative buildings, and renovations of athletic facilities. He was a great friend to the Assumption College community and a staunch supporter of its athletic program. His financial leadership helped position the college for decades of growth. Dr. DiPasquale was awarded an honorary degree from Assumption in 1979 and the College’s Media Center was renamed in his honor in 1987. Following his tenure at Assumption, he continued his career in academia, serving as president at Loras College (Iowa), St. Thomas University (FL) and College Misericorida (PA) . Dr. DiPasquale died in 2004.
