Frederick L. Bayon, D.M.D. ’65

Fred received the College's Outstanding Alumnus Award in 1990 for his active involvement in the Assumption community. He became a member of the Alumni Board in 1970 and served as its president (1980-83). He was also a member of the “A” Club (1970-76) and served on the Dollars for Scholars Ball Committee in 1978. Fred was a member of the Honorary Degree Committee (1979-81), a member of the Institutional Self Study Team in 1980, and served on the Curriculum Studies Committee in 1982. Fred has been a member of the College’s Board of Trustees since 1984 and is currently its chair. He has also chaired the Assumption Annual Fund and Presidential Search Committee. He was instrumental in assisting alumni fundraising for the library and today, is currently involved in many alumni activities, both fundraising and social. Fred stays connected with Assumption students and has hired several interns in his Worcester dental office.
