Stephen Brewer G'74

Senator Stephen Brewer represents 32 towns in Central and Western Massachusetts and is currently running for his fourth term as a Senator in the Legislature. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts–Amherst and a Master’s Degree in History and Government from Assumption. Prior to his election as State Senator, Steve served for three terms on the Barre Board of Selectmen and four terms in the House of Representatives. He also served as an Aide to Senator Robert Wetmore for eight years. He is currently senate chairman of the Joint Committee on Natural Resources and Agriculture, senate vice-chair of the Joint Committee on Public Safety, and a member of the Ways and Means, Energy, Local Affairs, and Ethics Committees.
