Assumption College

• A completed Common Application for admission (Early Action deadline is November 1, Early Action II deadline is December 15, Regular Decision deadline is February 15)
• A completed Common Application supplement
• A personal essay
• An official copy of your secondary school transcripts translated into English.  (Must be submitted directly from your school.)
• A letter of recommendation from a counselor or teacher
• Official TOEFL/IELTS scores (Code is 3009), if English is not your native language
• Assumption College is a Test-Score Optional institution.  Should you want your test scores included in your application review, the school code is 3009 for the SAT and 1782 for the ACT
• A completed certification of finances form, properly endorsed by a bank
• A $50 non-refundable application fee

All applicants must graduate from an accredited secondary school with a minimum of 18 academic units including:

• 4 years of English
• 3 years of mathematics
• 2 years of a foreign language
• 2 years of history
• 2 years of science
• 5 additional academic units

For each applicant, the number of solid academic courses, including the number of honors or Advanced Placement level courses, and the grade point average (GPA) are considered. The Admissions Committee is aware of whether the applicant's GPA or rank-in-class is weighted or unweighted.

The Admissions Committee also recognizes that grading standards vary from school to school, or from one course to another, and make every effort to take those differences into account. Class rank provides us with some context within which to place the grades of students applying from a given school. Some schools also provide us with grade distribution charts.
