Transfer Applicants

Thank you for your interest in transferring to Assumption College. We are pleased to consider transfer applications from qualified students. Students may transfer to Assumption for the fall and spring semesters. To be considered for fall admission, all required documents must be submitted before the July 1st deadline. For spring semester admission, all required documents must be submitted before the December 21st deadline.

In order to transfer from an accredited college or university to Assumption College, students must submit either an Assumption College transfer application, which includes the transfer supplement, or a Transfer Common Application and a Transfer Supplement.

Note: At least 20 of the 40 semester courses students need to graduate from Assumption must be taken in the undergraduate school at Assumption or through the Colleges of Worcester Consortium as an Assumption College student. Classes are scheduled during transfer orientation (in August or January) through the Registrar's office.


Deadline for Re-admission
To be considered for Fall admission, all required documents must be submitted no later than July 1st. For Spring semester admission, all required documents must be submitted no later than December 21st.

Spring Transfer Orientation
The Spring Transfer Orientation will be held on January 16th, 2008, at 1:00 PM in the Hagan Campus Center.

Also, a complete transfer application includes the following:

  • A personal statement about your college education and why attending Assumption College will be of value to you
  • Official college transcripts, with at least 12 credits of coursework completed (24 is preferable) and a GPA of 2.5 or better
  • Official high school transcript or official General Education Development (GED) Test.
  • Transfer Application Supplement, Parts 1 & 2, if applying with the Common Application.
  • SAT I or ACT scores (or TOEFL scores if English is not your primary language).

  • Letter of Recommendation from a professor at last college attended
  • Application fee of $50.00 made payable to Assumption College
  • A current college progress report if available
  • Catalog or catalog website address from each college attended
