Gobal Studies help students develop a deeper and more meaningful appreciation of the world and its history, diverse cultures and customs, geography and economics. Assumption’s professors provide perspective on what it means to be a true citizen of the world through a wide range of interdisciplinary courses designed to broaden students' horizons while simultaneously helping them understand how the pieces fit together to create the world we live in.
Students are prepared to enter careers in private business, international organizations, international business, government and nonprofit organizations.

Majoring in Global Studies with a Social Science concentration
Majoring in Global Studies with a Social Science Concentration allows students to study a range of topics including economics, geography and politics. Students who pursue this major must take 12 courses (33 credits) across a variety of subject areas.
Major in Global Studies with a Business Concentration
Pursuing a concentration in Business allows students to study an array of economic topics and gain a foundation in key business subject areas that will help them effectively direct your career toward a corporate setting. Students interested in this program must complete 12 courses (36 credits).
Major in Global Studies with a World Environmental Concentration
Choosing the World Envionmental concentration allows students to study how weather, climate and geography affect the world we live in. Students take 12 courses (36 credits) to complete this concentrarion.
Major in Global Studies with a Cultural Affairs Concentration
The Major in Global Studies with a Cultural Affairs Concentration is ideal for students interested in focusing on intercultural communication. This interdisciplinary program includes literature, music, politics, geography and economics.Students must take twelve 12 courses (36 credits).
Major in Global Studies with a Area Studies Option
This Major and concentration focuses on a particular region of the world - Africa, Asia, Europe or Latin America. The specifics of the coursework are developed in consultation with the Global Studies Department Chair.
Major or Minor in Geography
Students considering Majoring in Geography must consult with the Global Studies department chair.
A Geography Minor must complete six (6) courses (18 credits) in physical and human geography.
