| Although the Center lost four of its Advisory
Board members over the past year, membership development continues
in order to reflect the Centers national role and the resources
necessary to achieve its mission. Two new members have been added
this year, Mary MacInnes, Administrator for the Worcester Regional
Transit Authority, and Maura Ducharme, ITS Program and Planning
Analyst with Wisconsin DOT. A member of the Class of 1993, Ms. Ducharme
provides an important perspective on the relationship between the
Center and the student body at the College. Our board now includes
twelve transportation professionals from both the public and private
sectors, seven environmentalists and six educators. The interdisciplinary
perspective that we have been seeking and a shared understanding
of the Centers mission have clearly emerged, and board members
jealously guard the uniqueness of our educational strategy for achieving
it.
