The concert will be composed of music embodying England’s grand choral tradition, with its ringing sounds, pure harmonies and majestic organ accompaniments. Works written for royal weddings, funerals and jubilees by William Matthias, Hubert Parry, John Rutter, Ralph Vaughan Williams and William Walton will be featured. Rejoice in the lamb by Benjamin Britten will be performed commemorating the centennial year of his birth. The Singers will be joined by the Worcester Children’s Chorus, conducted by Jennifer Kane, and guest organist William Ness.
